Paris-inspired events with Ruby
Exhibitions, Talks & Immersive Paris Experiences
Step into Paris through a series of Paris-inspired events created by Australian–Parisian author, journalist, photographer and performer Ruby Boukabou.
Rather than traditional book launches or exhibitions, Australian–Parisian author, journalist, photographer and performer Ruby Boukabou creates immersive Paris-inspired experiences where cinema, photography, storytelling and live performance come together.
Drawing on her background in theatre, journalism and the performing arts, each event is designed as a warm and convivial evening. Guests are invited to slow down, share stories, enjoy French music, discover beautiful photography, explore Paris through cinema and culture, and from time to time, even experience a splash of tap dance.
For more than twenty years, Ruby has photographed the cities she writes about. Her images have accompanied her travel articles and guidebooks from the very beginning and are now being exhibited publicly for the first time alongside her latest book, The Movie Lover’s Guide to Paris.
Whether through a photography exhibition, artist talk, immersive cinema presentation, guided walking tour, live performance or book signing, Ruby’s aim is always the same: to transport audiences to Paris and create memorable moments of connection.
Audiences leave not only with a book or a photograph, but with the feeling of having shared a warm evening in good company and travelled somewhere special for a few hours.
