Camelot Lounge turns 8

The Camelot Lounge has become one of Sydney’s premier entertainment venues for world music, jazz and cabaret. It recently celebrated its 8th birthday with Nadya’s 101 Candles Orkestra at the downstairs Django bar.

We of course spent the night dancing away to the lively Balkan-Gypsy  tunes. Nadya is not only talented in the vocal department, she’s also hilarious and makes for a great host. To extend the festivities she threw in some French classics (Petite fleur amongst them) and a splash of Tango.

Her stella musicians tonight were Leonid Bshlei on accordian, Eddie Bronson on sax and clarinet, Jess Ciampa on percussion and Dario Moconia on bass.

Most nights of the week, the Camelot Lounge and the Django bar will have something fabulous to go and see and if you’re not driving, they’re opposite Sydneham station so easy to to get to.   http://camelotlounge.com/
